A west coast trough formed near the west coast on Wednesday having lead to some warm air advection.

The boundary layer has decoupled over much of the area with the chance of some recoupling overnight as east-southeasterly winds increase.

The west coast trough moves inland from Thursday afternoon with strong sea breezes expected on Friday in the afternoon and evening as the southerly pressure gradient "bends" with solar heating.

Easterly pressure gradient rapidly reestablishes over the region with a strong subtropical high pressure system moving to lie south of the region.

West coast trough deepens near the west coast again early next week leading to some warm air advection before moving inland again from Tuesday.

This is the first summer without a 40+ Degree day at the Perth metro station since the summer of 2001-2002.
