A west coast trough formed near the west coast on Wednesday having lead to some warm air advection.


The west coast trough moved inland from Thursday afternoon with sea breezes since then.

Strong sea breezes expected on Friday in the afternoon and evening as the southerly pressure gradient "bends" with solar heating.

Easterly pressure gradient rapidly reestablishes over the region with a strong subtropical high pressure system moving to lie south of the region.

West coast trough deepens near the west coast again early next week leading to some warm air advection before moving inland again from Tuesday afternoon.

The west coast trough lies inland until at least the end of the forecast period with weak pressure gradients resulting in relatively weak sea breezes.

We had the first summer without a 40+ Degree day at the Perth metro station since the summer of 2001-2002.
