Plenty of marine layer clouds occurred on Wednesday morning and have largely cleared with solar heating.

Marine layer clouds possible over the region again overnight with radiational cooling of marine layer.Patches of fog also possible.

The west coast trough lies inland in the next few days but hot air mass remains aloft as a result large differences in maximum temperatures between coastal and inland coastal plain.

A strong somewhat easterly pressure gradient reestablishes over the region again from the weekend as a stronger than usual ridge of high pressure lies to the south, this condition likely persists through he end of the forecast period with the high pressure system moving into the Great Australian Bight leading to some warm air advection early next week.

Plenty of uncertainty on precisely how hot it will be with plenty of variation between models and ensemble models.

We had the first summer without a 40+ Degree day at the Perth metro station since the summer of 2001-2002.
