Hot conditions occurred on Tuesday with the hot air mass over the region before the west coast trough trough moved inland bringing in a sea breeze having lead to slightly cooler temps but higher humidities as the marine layer advected inland.
As predicted convective clouds formed, contracting eastwards as the sea breeze penetrated further inland.
An elevated shower moved across the area early in the morning.
Plenty of marine layer clouds occurred this morning and have largely cleared with solar heating now just some high clouds(mostly sunny).
The west coast trough lies inland in the next few days but hot air mass remains aloft as a result large differences in maximum temperatures between coastal and inland coastal plain.
A strong somewhat easterly pressure gradient reestablishes over the region again from next weekend.
We had the first summer without a 40+ Degree day at the Perth metro station since the summer of 2001-2002.
