Easterly pressure gradient has rapidly reestablished over the region with a strong subtropical high pressure ridge  lying south of the region.

A west coast trough deepened near the west coast on Sunday with some warm air advection.

The west coast trough continues to deepen today, remaining offshore suppressing sea breezes with further warm air advection.

Especially hot conditions with very hot conditions over inland coastal plain areas on Tuesday before the west coast trough moves inland.

The marine layer advects onshore from Tuesday afternoon as the west coast trough moves inland.

A strong somewhat easterly pressure gradient probably reestablishes over the region again from next weekend.

We had the first summer without a 40+ Degree day at the Perth metro station since the summer of 2001-2002.
