"Anticyclone gloom" associated with moist low level air trapped under a subsidence inversion affected the region for much of today.

Showers possible overnight and during the first half of Friday in a moist air stream with showers being enhanced by coastal land breeze convergence.

Sunny from late afternoon as drier air aloft moves in from the northwest.

A pre frontal trough or a cold front brings likely showers on Saturday then a stronger cold front moves over the region early on Sunday bringing plenty of showers. Can't rule out thunderstorms with some instability.

Post cold frontal showers affect the region thereafter with improving conditions from Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure builds to the south.
