Unusually warm weather persists throughout the forecast period with a blocking subtropical high pressure ridge to the south throughout the forecast period.
Saturday was the second hottest May day on record with a maximum temperature of 32.7 Degrees Celsius at Perth Metro,it was the latest 30+ Degrees Celsius day in autumn on record. At Pearce it reached 34.1 Degrees Celsius! The hottest day at that station this late in autumn on record!
Strengthening high pressure system to the south sees warmer weather again with an easterly prevailing low level flow. Also possible smoke haze in the next few days depending on prescribed burns.
Some high clouds tomorrow. Also moist low level air will be advecting from the southeast overnight leading to low level clouds forming to the east of the Darling Scarp advecting westwards possibly leading to a katabatic "waterfall" effect in the morning.
