Typical winter conditions throughout the forecast period with the subtropical high pressure ridge to the north of the region.

Friday morning was the coldest morning of the year so far and Thursday the coldest day in almost 5 years. Some fog affected the region early on Friday morning with radiational cooling of moist low level air but some clouds hampered radiational cooling later towards the morning, largely dissipating the fog.

Some pre frontal showers in northwesterly flow today before a cold front brings heavier showers and possible thunderstorms from evening.

Possible "anticyclone gloom" affecting the region on Monday, before a weak cold front likely brushes the region on Tuesday with "antityclone gloom" possibly affecting the region again on Wednesday.
