There were some thunderstorms on Thursday morning ahead of the cold front in areas of low level wind convergence.Some hail was reported in the thunderstorms.The rain band associated with the cold front then moved across the region.
Cold air mass lies over the region,cold mornings as a ridge of high pressure builds.
Moisture ahead of an upper/middle level trough/disturbance likely brings elevated showers/thunderstorms with a strong cold front on Monday to move across the region on Tuesday.
