Large diurnal temperature variation until Thursday with a warm air mass leading to relatively warm afternoons but excellent radiational cooling leading to cold mornings.A west coast trough lies offshore.

Particularly so from Wednesday as the west coast trough lies inland leading to little prospects for katabatic winds during the early hours. Also as the pressure gradient "bends" a little during the day on Wednesday leading to a light sea breeze in the afternoon. The chance of patches of fog early on Wednesday.

A cold front is likely to move across the region on Thursday night/early on Friday and another cold front on Sunday.
