A strong cold front moved across the region early on Wednesday  with a deep cold air mass currently over the region with 500 hPa temperatures down to -29 Degrees Celsius,showers,thunderstorms and possible hail occurred.Gusty winds with showers and thunderstorms.Possibly the coldest air mass of the year so far lies over the region,with 850 hPa temps down to -2 Degrees Celsius.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology(BOM) has issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds and damaging surf for parts of the west,southwest and south of the state including the Perth Metropolitan Area for Wednesday.Please see http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDW21037.shtml for the latest severe weather warning.

Cold southwesterly air steam on Thursday and Friday leads to further showers.

Another cold front likely moves across the region late on Friday.
