An upper/middle level trough/disturbance brings showers,the slight chance of thunderstorms.Strong easterly winds aloft means wind gusts in excess of 80 km/h possible over the hills and foothills overnight.

With an unstable atmosphere,thunderstorms likely develop over land tomorrow afternoon,thunderstorms will be steered to the southeast,hence highest chance of precipitation will be over the hills.Can't rule out hail with relatively cold air aloft,500 hPa temps of -17 Degrees Celsius.

The weak low passes just to the southwest on Friday bringing some showers.
