7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 12:00 AM Thursday July 30

Explanatory notes:

Cold morning on Thursday with light winds and clear skies. Also the slight possibility of shallow fog/mist given radiational cooling of moist low level air from Wednesday evening but some drier air from the east limits this possibility.

On Friday, the passage of a decaying cold front brings the possibility of showers.

A rare southerly "backdoor" cold front is likely to move over the region on Sunday bringing a very cold but dry air mass from the southeast to lie over the region next Monday and Tuesday.Sunny morning but clouds develop with solar heating with steep vertical lapse rate but the stratocumulus should be capped by a low subsidence inversion keeping conditions dry.
