7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 1:00 PM Saturday April 24 2021

Explanatory notes:

Perth (and the Peel region) has entered its first day of lockdown. Follow the latest update at https://www.facebook.com/MarkMcGowanMP .

Some high and middle clouds over the region ahead of an upper level trough.

Forecast updated to reflect the increased maximum temperature above that orignally forecasted.

The west coast trough is expected to move slightly inland this afternoon, remaining very near the coast and moving back and forth, this means that the marine layer is expected to advect inland from the afternoon, the slight possibility of fog and low cloud early on Sunday and Monday, fog most likely over the south of the state and to the north of Ellenbrook on Sunday and over the south of the state early on Monday but still some uncertainty on the details.

Warm afternoons over the next few days with the warm air mass over the region but cool to cold mornings given the lengthening nights as the season progresses. The west coast trough remains near the west coast until around Thursday.

A significant cold front is likely to move over the region towards the end of the forecast period but as usual uncertainty on the details this far out.
