Effective as of 4:00 AM Monday April 19 2021
Explanatory notes:
The west coast trough moved inland yesterday afternoon.
As at 4 AM, smoke from prescribed burns lies aloft, this should clear in the morning with the southerly gradient flow today.
A weak cold front and weak trough brushes the south of the state today leading to some clouds around Perth but Perth should remain dry.
Thereafter, the subtropical high pressure ridge strengthens to the south again leading to gradient flow becoming an easterly direction again. Still some stratocumulus clouds on Tuesday extending from east of the Darling Scarp with moist low level air.
The west coast trough likely deepens off the coast from Thursday with warm air advection. Another upper level trough approaches from the west leading to some high and middle level clouds but conditions are expected to be dry.Warm with the warm air advection and warm air advection over the region but the decreasing solar insolation as autumn progresses is certainly having its impact.
Possible smoke haze at times mainly when the gradient flow is an easterly direction depending on prescribed burning activities.
