7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 4:00 PM Saturday April 17 2021

Explanatory notes:

Some high and middle level cloud ahead of an upper level trough along with some smoke haze aloft from prescribed burning activities.

The subtropical high pressure ridge lies to the south with the west coast trough near the west coast, this results in easterlies in the morning and at night with prevailing east-northeasterly gradient flow but south-southwesterly sea breeze in the afternoon.

The west coast trough moves inland from Sunday afternoon with a weak cold front brushing the southwest of the state on Monday leading to some clouds around Perth but Perth will likely remain dry.

Thereafter, the subtropical high pressure ridge strengthens to the south again with a west coast trough likely deepening off the coast later during the work week with another upper level trough approaching from the west leading to some high and middle level clouds again but conditions are expected to be dry
