7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 4:00 PM Friday April 16 2021

Explanatory notes:

Some high and middle level cloud ahead of an upper level trough for the rest of today through early on Sunday.

On the surface until Sunday the subtropical high pressure ridge lies to the south with the west coast trough near the west coast, this results in easterlies in the morning and at night with prevailing east-northeasterly gradient flow but south-southwesterly sea breeze.

The west coast trough moves inland from Sunday afternoon with a weak cold front brushing the southwest of the state on Monday leading to some clouds around Perth but Perth will likely remain dry.

Thereafter, the subtropical high pressure ridge strengthens to the south again.

Possible smoke haze at times depending on prescribed burning activities.
