7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 4:00 PM Monday May 10 2021

Explanatory notes:

Warm afternoons with the warm air mass over the region with warm air advection with the high pressure system in the Great Australian Bight.

High clouds from tonight and high and middle level clouds tomorrow ahead of an upper level trough.

A cold front moves over the region from the south early on Wednesday bringing the possibility of showers.

The strong high pressure ridge builds to the south thereafter leading to significant east-southeasterly flow becoming more east-northeasterly then northeasterly from the weekend as the high pressure system moves into the Great Australian Bight.
During this period, upper and middle level moisture ahead of a cut off low in the indian Ocean leads to high and middle level clouds over the region.
