Explanatory notes:
A surface trough ahead of an upper level trough in a moist and unstable atmosphere leads to rain,showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding possible. The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a severe weather warning for heavy rainfall including the Perth Metropolitan Area at http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDW21037.shtml .
Thereafter on Saturday, the cut off low lies to the southeast, showery conditions with the possibility of thunderstorms for Perth with the moist flow ahead of the upper level trough.
Showery conditions continue on Sunday in the south-southwesterly air stream.
Improving conditions from early next week with the ridge of high pressure building to the south.
