Effective as of 4:00 AM Sunday May 9 2021
Explanatory notes:
The slight chance of fog and mist early today with radiational cooling of moist cool low level air.
A week trough brings some cloud with just the slight chance of a shower over the southern suburbs in the afternoon.
The slight chance of fog and mist early on Monday too if easterly Atlantic winds are sufficiently light .
Otherwise, with the subtropical high pressure ridge slightly to the south, fine conditions.
Progressively warmer afternoons until Tuesday with warm air advection as the high moves into the Great Australian Bight.
A cold front likely moves over the region from the south on Wednesday bringing a colder air mass over the region with a strong high pressure system, building to the southwest leading to breezy east-southeasterly winds thereafter. Still some uncertainty on the details this far out.
