7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 4:00 PM Wednesday June 2 2021

Explanatory notes:

The ridge of high pressure over the region leads to fine conditions with pleasant afternoons but cold mornings with good radiational cooling overnight.  Minimum temperature would likely be lower than NWP and OCF guidance due to boundary layer decoupling.

The change of fog/mist early tomorrow with very good radiational cooling with light winds and mostly clear skies. Also the slight chance early on Friday, but a lower chance due to drier winds from the northeast.

A cold front likely brings showers on Sunday, but some uncertainty on the details this far out.

The tropical low near the Christmas and Cocos Islands likely evolves into a subtropical low pressure system as it gets caught ahead of an upper level trough and lies to the west of Perth towards the end of the forecast period bringing showers and possible thunderstorms, but plenty of uncertainty this far out.
