Explanatory notes:


The official Perth station has experienced the wettest October since 1965 with 122.8 mm of rain and coolest October by mean maximum temperature since 2005 with a mean maximum temperature of 21.5˚C which was also the same as September's. It was also the second wettest month of this year so far, with the wettest being the unusually wet July.

Isolated to scattered showers in the moist air stream as subsidence inversion height increases. Slight shower risk remains early on Wednesday with weak low level wind convergence off the coast.

Fine conditions thereafter with afternoon sea breezes with the subtropical high pressure ridge to the south and the west coast trough to the east.

A weak cold front possibly brushes the southwest of the state on Friday bringing the possibility of showers.
