The west coast trough moved inland yesterday with the marine layer having advected inland bringing some low clouds early today, the possibility of fog over the hills and in the north, winds inhibit fog formation elsewhere.
A cooler air mass arrives bringing comfortable conditions until hot conditions return during the weekend as the west coast trough likely deepens near the west coast.
