Explanatory notes:


The official Perth station has experienced the wettest October since 1965 with 122.8 mm of rain and coolest October by mean maximum temperature since 2005 with a mean maximum temperature of 21.5˚C which was also the same as September's. It was also the second wettest month of this year so far, with the wettest being the unusually wet July.

Showers ahead of a weak cold front brushing the region today.

Fine conditions with afternoon sea breezes during the weekend with the subtropical high pressure ridge to the south and west coast trough to the east.

Some rain, shower and thunderstorm activity possible next week ahead of an upper level trough but still plenty of uncertainty on the details this far out.
