Explanatory notes:
Subtropical high pressure ridge lies to the south leading to to dry conditions. Some high clouds today with moisture above around 24,000 feet streaming in a subtropical jet stream clearing in the afternoon as drier air arrives (above 24,000 feet). Afternoon sea breezes with the west coast trough inland as the southeasterly pressure gradient bends with solar heating, particularly strong on Tuesday with a significant pressure gradient.
The possibility of showers again on Friday and early during the weekend with a weak cold frontal passage possible over the southwest of the state, still plenty of uncertainty this far out.
