Explanatory notes:

The Mt Lawley site has seen the hottest January on record with a mean maximum temperature of 33.7C beating the record of 33.5C set in January 2012.

It was the hottest January at the official Perth station since January 1962.

Significant easterly gradient flow wills surpress sea breezes today with strong gusts over the hills and foothills early and in the morning, gusts in excess of 80 km/h possible over the hills and foothills early and in the morning today. Cool early hours and morning with radiational cooling and cool air advection from the east-southeast evolving to a moderately hot day.

Becoming very hot again from Thursday and into Saturday as hot air mass advects over the region as west coast trough deepens off the west coast

Plenty of uncertainty on the precise synoptic conditions from Sunday and into next week with variation between models and model ensembles but conditions are virtually certain to be much cooler bringing significant relief.
