Quite strong sea breezes occurred today as the southerly pressure gradient "bended" with solar heating.

Altocumulus castellanus clouds occurred during the early hours and morning today but elevated showers and thunderstorms failed to develop probably due to dry air aloft.

A more southeasterly pressure gradient from Wednesday but there would be plenty of clouds on Wednesday morning with plenty of low level moisture.

Sea breezes likely return from Thursday with the west coast trough inland.

Some uncertainty on the precise temperatures during the weekend with variations in ensemble and multi model ensemble projections.

The long spell with no 40+ Degree Days continues with the last 40+ Degree Day being Australia Day last year! With no 40+ Degree day within the forecast period, the next 40+ Degree Day will be at least the latest during summer as the 2005-2006 summer.
