Effective as of 12:00 AM Friday April 23 2021
Explanatory notes:
Plenty of high clouds over the region ahead of an upper level trough.
The west coast trough is deepening off the west coast with warm air advection and is expected to move slightly inland from Saturday afternoon, remaining very near the coast and moving back and forth, this means that the marine layer is expected to advect inland from Saturday afternoon, the possibility of fog and low cloud early on Sunday and Monday but still some uncertainty on the details.
Some smoke haze from prescribed burns is still possible but is less likely given that the gradient flow shifts to be northeasterly today and northwesterly from Saturday, any smoke haze then is likely to come prescribed burns to the north particularly over the Gnangara-moore River State Forest.
Warm afternoons over the next few days with the warm air mass over the region but cool to cold mornings given the lengthening nights as the season progresses.
