Effective as of 12:00 AM Wednesday May 12 2021
Explanatory notes:
It was a very warm afternoon yesterday with the warm air mass over the region with the high in the Great Australian Bight.
A cold front moves over the region from the south early today bringing showers.
The strong high pressure ridge builds to the south thereafter leading to significant east-southeasterly flow becoming more east-northeasterly then northeasterly from the weekend as the high pressure system moves into the Great Australian Bight. During this period, upper and middle level moisture ahead of a cut off low in the indian Ocean leads to high and middle level clouds over the region.
