7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 12:00 AM Friday June 4 2021

Explanatory notes:

The ridge of high pressure over the region leads to fine conditions with pleasant afternoons but cold mornings with good radiational cooling overnight.  Minimum temperature would likely be lower than NWP and OCF guidance due to boundary layer decoupling.

The chance of fog and mist early today and on Saturday with very good radiational cooling with light winds and mostly clear skies.

A cold front brings some showers on Sunday, but some uncertainty on the details.

The tropical low near the Christmas and Cocos Islands likely evolves into a subtropical low pressure system as it gets caught ahead of an upper level trough and lies to the west of Perth towards the middle of the next working week bringing showers and possible thunderstorms, but plenty of uncertainty this far out.
