7 day weather forecast

Effective as of 4:00 PM Friday June 4 2021

Explanatory notes:

The ridge of high pressure over the region has lead to fine conditions with pleasant afternoons but cold mornings with good radiational cooling overnight.  Minimum temperature were often lower than NWP and OCF guidance due to boundary layer decoupling.

Such conditions are expected to continue until Sunday morning.

Also he chance of fog and mist early on Saturday with very good radiational cooling with light winds and mostly clear skies.

A cold front brings some showers on Sunday with showers first developing over the far southwest of the metropolitan area, near Mandurah, Rockingham from Saturday night with low level wind convergence towards a pre-frontal trough.

The tropical low near the Christmas and Cocos Islands likely evolves into a subtropical low pressure system as it gets caught ahead of an upper level trough and lies to the west of Perth towards the middle of the next working week bringing showers and possible thunderstorms, but plenty of uncertainty this far out.
