Effective as of 12:00 AM Friday April 30 2021

Explanatory notes:

A pre-frontal trough moved over the region bringing some showers and thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon.

A cold front moved through the region in the evening bringing further rain and showers.

Still possible showers in the cold air mass in the next few hours clearing by mid morning with the high pressure ridge building to the south.

Fine conditions during the weekend with the subtropical high pressure ridge to the south.

Some showers and thunderstorms are expected on Tuesday with further showers, possible thunderstorm on Wednesday and even possibly late on Monday, associated with an upper level low and associated developing surface low. Some uncertainty on the details this far out in time, once the upper level low and associated cold pool moves to the east, thunderstorm chances diminishes but further stream showers are likely to continue in the moist onshore flow through the end of the forecast period.
